There's something new in the cafeteria. Fresh veggies. When we learned that kids eat 23% more veggies when they come with a moderate amount of ranch dressing, we launched The Hidden Valley® Love Your Veggies™ Nationwide School Lunch Campaign to help get more fresh vegetables into the school cafeterias.
The Love Your Veggies™ Nationwide School Lunch Campaign provides $10,000 grants to 51 elementary schools nationwide to support increased access to, and consumption of, fresh vegetables and fruits during school meals. Millions of students nationwide consume a meal at school daily. For many children, school lunch is the most important meal of the day and according to the USDA, it contributes one-third of their nutritional intake. Hidden Valley has partnered with the School Nutrition Association and its foundation and the Produce for Better Health Foundation on this important endeavor and to better reach schools in need.
